With Brown causing a lot of controversy after Boston's playoff loss to Philadelphia, trade rumors are starting to receive a lot more fuel.

The Boston Celtics' offseason is barely four days old, and it's already heating up with drama and trade rumors. Following their playoff exit at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers, star guard Jaylen Brown has been making headlines—and not just for his on-court performance.

Brown has taken to social media since the series loss, first calling out referees for bias and Sixers center Joel Embiid for flopping. But the noise goes deeper than post-game frustration. According to NBA Hall-of-Famer Tracy McGrady, who serves as Brown's mentor, the All-Star's discontent runs much closer to home.

"I think his frustration lies deeply in the organization that we don't have the details to… There's just been a lot of stuff that I've been hearing, just going on with the Boston organization with JB," McGrady said in a recent interview.

However, Celtics GM Brad Stevens has pushed back, stating that Brown never expressed any of these frustrations to him directly. In fact, Stevens claims their last conversation was all positive vibes. This could be a strategic move to maintain Brown's trade value—making it seem like he's content in Boston so other teams can't lowball the Celtics with offers for a disgruntled star.

Enter the Giannis Antetokounmpo factor. Rumors of a potential swap—sending Brown to Milwaukee for the two-time MVP—have gained serious traction. While Giannis is two years older than Brown, he brings elite defense, dominant interior scoring, and a physical presence that could unlock a new dimension for Boston's offense. Pairing him with Jayson Tatum would create one of the most fearsome pick-and-roll duos in NBA history, perfectly suited for coach Joe Mazzulla's system.

What once seemed like a far-fetched idea a few months ago is now looking increasingly plausible. Giannis has finished top four in MVP voting every season since 2018-19, and with trade winds swirling in Boston, this offseason could reshape the Eastern Conference landscape.
