In what was an opportunity to close out their opening round playoff series, in front of their own fans, the Boston Celtics fell to a 113-97 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics have now lost two of their three home games in the series, and will need to try to wrap things up on the road when they head back to Philadelphia for game six.

A tough third quarter helped set the tone for Boston's latest loss, allowing 35 points while only putting up 29 of its own. After the game, Jaylen Brown spoke to the media about the Celtics' third-quarter struggles.

“I thought we got some good looks," Brown said. "I think we’ll take a look at it, but it felt like we got some good looks. We just didn’t knock them down tonight. But it felt like we got, you know, some really good shots. But you know, that’s the name of the game.”

The Celtics took 20 shots in the third, shooting 45%. However, it was their struggles from deep, where they went 3-of-9, that saw them give ground to a Sixers team that was fighting with its back against the wall. To make matters worse, the Celtics didn't find any success in the fourth quarter, either, shooting 13.6% from the field on 3-of-22 shooting, worth just 11 points.

Boston will have another chance to close out the series on Thursday, April 29. If they can't get the job done, they will be facing a game seven back in Boston. Hopefully, though, they can get things done on Thursday and book their spot in the second round.
