Auston Trusty believes the challenges Celtic have faced this season have forged a stronger, more united squad, declaring the team is now "in a much better place" than during their League Cup final defeat to St Mirren earlier this term.

It's been a campaign of significant turbulence for the Hoops, marked by Champions League disappointment, managerial changes, and that painful cup final loss. Yet, with the Scottish Premiership title race still alive and a Scottish Cup semi-final looming this Sunday, a domestic double remains a tangible target. The semi-final presents a swift shot at redemption, as they once again face St Mirren.

"Trophies are what this club is about," stated the centre-back, emphasizing the core ethos at Celtic Park. "It's what we strive for every time we step on the pitch. To have another chance to win one for this organization means everything. Playing in high-pressure situations and lifting silverware is the identity of Celtic."

Reflecting on their journey, Trusty highlighted the team's resilience. "The League Cup final was an unfortunate result, but this is a new game, a new competition, and we are a better team now. We had a tough spell, but we bounced back. Historically, Celtic doesn't have many lows, but it's inevitable. Through those lows, you become closer and more of a unit. I try to look at the positives."
