The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing a pivotal moment in their playoff journey. After falling in five games in the second round the past two seasons, they now have a chance to change that narrative—but only if they can defend home court in Game 4 against the Detroit Pistons and even the series.

Game 3 was a turning point for Cleveland’s offense. After managing just 101 and 97 points in the first two games, the Cavs exploded for 116 points by attacking the basket and converting on the in-rhythm threes that came from collapsing the Pistons’ defense. The formula was simple: get to the rim, force help, and kick out for open looks.

So far, the team that shoots better from beyond the arc has won every game in this series. In Games 1 and 2, Detroit couldn’t miss, hitting 38.5% and 50% from three. But in Game 3, the Cavs jumped out to a 17-point lead by finding their own rhythm from deep, while the Pistons went ice cold—missing 13 straight triples at one point. Detroit mounted a late comeback by hitting 7 of their final 10 threes, but it wasn’t enough to erase the deficit.

There’s been plenty of talk this series about which team can impose its will physically. But through three games, the real story has been about who can knock down shots from distance. We’ll see if that trend continues in Game 4.

Here’s everything you need to know for tonight’s matchup:

Who: Cleveland Cavaliers (1-2) vs. Detroit Pistons (2-1)

Pistons Injury Report: Kevin Huerter – QUESTIONABLE (abductor strain), Caris LeVert – QUESTIONABLE (heel)

Cavs Expected Starting Lineup: James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, Max Strus, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen

Pistons Expected Starting Lineup: Cade Cunningham, Duncan Robinson, Ausar Thompson, Tobias Harris, Jalen Duren

Previous Matchup: The Cavs took care of business with a 116-109 win in Game 3.

As the series shifts back to Cleveland, the energy in the arena will be electric. Whether you’re watching from home or heading to the game, make sure you’re repping your Cavs gear. From classic throwbacks to the 2016 championship collection, there’s no better time to show your team pride.
