The Castle Knights have claimed the SIAC outdoor championship title, dominating the competition at Central High School on Thursday afternoon. With a commanding 102 total points, Castle outpaced Jasper, who finished second with 83.50 points, and Harrison, who rounded out the top three with 83 points.

The day was packed with standout performances, but the Warriors' sprinters stole the show. Richard Hilaire blazed to victory in the 100-meter dash, setting the tone for a record-breaking 4x100 relay team. Alongside Hilaire, Kendrick Hart, Deandre Sanders, and Daerail Jamerson clocked an impressive 41.84 seconds to etch their names in the record books—a testament to their speed and teamwork.

In the field events, Jasper's Cole Leinenbach claimed first place in the pole vault with a mark of 13-6. However, the talented vaulter wasn't satisfied, expressing frustration with his performance. "I should have been better prepared, I feel like," Leinenbach said. "I was a little tired coming off just sitting there waiting for everyone else to be done. I was a little under my PR today. I was looking for 14-6, but my last jump on 14 just didn't go as planned."

The SIAC meet showcased the depth of talent in the conference, with athletes pushing their limits across track and field events. For fans looking to gear up like these champions, performance-driven apparel can help you stay comfortable and focused during your own training sessions—whether you're sprinting for a record or aiming for a personal best.
