Outgoing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has made a bold comparison between interim boss Michael Carrick and legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti—and it's easy to see why.

Since stepping in as caretaker manager in January following Ruben Amorim's departure, Carrick has transformed United's fortunes. With 10 wins and three draws in 15 matches, the Red Devils have climbed to third in the Premier League table with just two games remaining. Champions League qualification is already secured, setting the stage for a massive summer transfer window.

But amid the excitement, a big question looms: Who will take the reins permanently? Carrick's contract only runs through the end of the season, and reports suggest the former midfielder is the frontrunner for the job. Casemiro, who has started all but one game under Carrick, didn't hold back when asked about the situation.

"It's a big problem," Casemiro told Rio Ferdinand Presents. "Because he deserves to stay. The team plays very good. He will win any games. The team improves day by day. Game by game the team improves. So for me it's a big problem, because in my opinion, he deserved this opportunity."

The Brazilian midfielder has been a key figure in United's resurgence, scoring five goals and registering one assist under Carrick's guidance. And when it comes to drawing comparisons, Casemiro pointed to a familiar face: Carlo Ancelotti, his former boss at Real Madrid and current manager of the Brazil national team.

Casemiro has made 75 appearances under Ancelotti, and he sees similar qualities in Carrick. "He deserves the opportunity, because the team is very comfortable. We have big wins, big ones," Casemiro added.

With United's board now facing a crucial decision, Carrick's case grows stronger by the week. And if Casemiro's endorsement is anything to go by, Old Trafford may have already found its next long-term leader.
