NASCAR Cup Series rising star Carson Hocevar is adding some serious dirt to his 2026 racing calendar. The young driver, who recently scored a massive victory at Talladega Superspeedway, has committed to running the full FloRacing Night in America (FNIA) Dirt Late Model season alongside his full-time Cup Series duties.
The FNIA series is a midweek Super Late Model championship designed to avoid conflicts with the World of Outlaws and Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series. With 11 races across 10 different venues in six states, the schedule runs from May through November. Think of it as a prime-time dirt track tour, all streaming live on FloRacing.
Hocevar will pilot a Spire Motorsports entry for every single event, starting with the season opener on Tuesday night at La Salle Speedway in Illinois. While his primary background is in pavement Late Models, Hocevar first dipped his toes into dirt racing back in 2022 at The Dream at Eldora. Since then, he's kept a toehold in the discipline, competing at the Charlotte World Finals and the Gateway Dirt Nationals, where he finished 10th at the Dome at America's Center over the winter.
For fans of versatile drivers who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty, Hocevar's commitment to the FNIA series is a welcome sight. It's a chance to see a NASCAR winner trade four-wide asphalt action for the slide-job artistry of dirt track racing—and with 11 midweek showdowns on the calendar, there will be plenty of opportunities to watch him mix it up with the sport's best.
