GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals offense is buzzing with excitement, and it's all thanks to new offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur. Just a few months into his tenure, LaFleur has already made a seamless transition, installing his system and scheme to the delight of Arizona's players.
Offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr. recently shared his enthusiasm with Arizona Sports, praising LaFleur's impact. "I love the philosophy they have for the offense," Johnson said. "Not only myself, but the guys across all units love what they're bringing. It's not just the terminology—it's the energy in how they teach it and how fast we've been able to pick up the system."
Johnson highlighted the rapid learning curve, noting that while the team is still at the surface level, the foundation is strong. "Coach LaFleur and coach Hackett bring great energy. Having those guys teach the offense, I think this is the perfect system for me and a lot of guys in this locker room. We're excited to get flying around in this system."
Voluntary workouts and rookie minicamps have given LaFleur the perfect adjustment period to install his offense. Johnson noted that these early sessions have shown how well the scheme fits the roster. LaFleur has focused heavily on pre-snap operations and execution, laying the groundwork for what promises to be an explosive offense.
This marks LaFleur's first opportunity as an offensive playcaller since his stint with the New York Jets in 2021. With head coach Jonathan Gannon's support, the Cardinals are building something special—and the players are all in.
