YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Cardinal Mooney High School has officially hired Quinn Puskar as the new Girls Head Basketball Coach.
Puskar brings extensive coaching experience at the youth, high school, and AAU levels.
Since 2014, he has served as director and head girls coach of the Ohio Lakers, where he has led all aspects of program operations, including player development, scheduling, organization and team culture.
In this role, he has also served as a college liaison, helping student-athletes navigate the recruiting process and connect with collegiate programs.
“I’m beyond excited to jump in and get started with such a prestigious program at Cardinal Mooney. The opportunity to be involved in the Mooney family while building student athletes to compete at a high level while reaching their full potential in the classroom, on the court and in the community is something that my coaching staff and myself are fully committed to and passionate about,” said Puskar.
“We are excited to welcome Coach Puskar to Cardinal Mooney,” Athletic Director Frank Colaprete said in a release. “His experience developing players and building strong programs makes him a great fit for the Mooney Family.”
Puskar replaces Dom Diorio, who stepped down from the position following the 2025-26 season.
