Oldham confirm seven players will be released following the end of their contracts this summer.

Big changes are underway at Boundary Park as Oldham Athletic confirm a major squad overhaul this summer, with seven players set to depart following the expiration of their contracts.

The club has announced that defenders Jake Caprice and Dynel Simeu, midfielders Tom Conlon, Josh Kay, and Kieron Morris, along with forwards Kian Harratt and Billy Waters, will all be moving on. This marks a significant reshaping of the squad as the club looks to build for the future.

However, it's not all goodbyes at Boundary Park. The club is actively working to retain key talent, with defenders Jake Leake, Manny Monthe, and Reagan Ogle, midfielder Frankie McMahon-Brown, and veteran forward Joe Garner all currently in contract negotiations. Additionally, Kane Drummond's extension has already been triggered, securing his services for the upcoming campaign.

In further roster moves, Josh Hawkes and Ryan Woods have been placed on the transfer list, signaling they are available for moves away from the club. Meanwhile, Fabio Jalo, Michael Mellon, Kai Payne, and Kane Taylor have all returned to their parent clubs following loan spells, ending their temporary stays in Greater Manchester.

Looking ahead to the 2025-26 season, Oldham has confirmed a core group of retained players: Donervon Daniels, Tom Donaghy, Mathew Hudson, Mike Fondop, Oli Hammond, Calum Kavanagh, Tom Pett, Jamie Robson, Jack Stevens, and Will Sutton will form the foundation of the squad as the club prepares for the new campaign.
