Fabio Capello has hailed Arsenal's Champions League semi-final victory over Atletico Madrid as a masterclass in control—but for the legendary Italian coach, the real highlight wasn't on the pitch. It was in the stands.

Arsenal secured a hard-fought 1-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, sealing a 2-1 aggregate victory and booking their place in the Champions League final for the first time in two decades. Mikel Arteta's side will now await the winner of the other semi-final between Bayern Munich and defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Capello, analyzing the match for Sky Sport Italia, was full of praise for the Gunners' performance across both legs. "They were the more complete side with more personality," he said. "When they wanted to keep hold of possession, they did it. The same when they wanted to press. It was always Arsenal that had it in them."

The decisive moment came from England international Bukayo Saka, who poked home a tap-in to send the north London club to their first Champions League final since 2006. Capello noted the goal's simplicity but also pointed out a defensive lapse: "It was a nice goal, but it was a bit careless in defence on the rebound."

Yet what truly stood out to the former Real Madrid and England manager was the electric atmosphere created by the Arsenal faithful. "The most beautiful thing for me was the crowd, who suffered until the very end and then got the chance to celebrate after 20 years," Capello reflected.

For Arsenal supporters, the wait is finally over. And with the final on the horizon, the energy from that unforgettable night at the Emirates is sure to carry them forward.
