Tyler Reddick is absolutely dominating the NASCAR Cup Series in 2026—and the rest of the garage is starting to take notice. Just one-third of the way through the regular season, the driver of the No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota Camry isn't just winning races; he's redefining what a championship run looks like.

Fresh off a strong top-five finish at Watkins Glen, Reddick holds a commanding 129-point lead over Denny Hamlin in the standings. With five victories in just 12 starts, he's turning the season into a one-man show while the rest of the field scrambles for leftovers. It's the kind of start that separates good seasons from legendary ones.

"It's been pretty surreal to start the year off the way that we have," Reddick told NASCAR.com. "Checked off a number of things you want to do as a driver in your career in one year… it's already been, win-side of things and consistency side of things, the best year I've had in the Cup Series."

But even the hottest drivers have their kryptonite. For Reddick, that's the "Monster Mile"—Dover Motor Speedway. As the series heads to the punishing concrete oval for the 2026 All-Star Race, the 30-year-old faces a glaring stat that could slow his momentum: Dover is one of only two active tracks on the Cup circuit where he has never led a single lap.

In seven career starts at the high-banked, 1-mile concrete beast, Reddick has managed just two top-10 finishes. The Monster Mile demands a brutal mix of throttle control, tire management, and the ability to find grip on a notoriously slick surface. It's a track that punishes even the slightest mistake.

Reddick admits that adapting to the Next Gen car at Dover has been a steep learning curve. "It just takes the entire weekend," he explained. "Takes having a good practice, having confidence in qualifying, and maintaining the car through the long runs."

Can the season's most dominant driver finally slay the Monster Mile? If he does, there may be no stopping him. If not, it's proof that even the best still have mountains to climb.
