Dominic Calvert-Lewin described it as an "unbelievable feeling" as Leeds United took a massive step toward Premier League safety with a commanding 3-1 victory over Burnley at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke's side wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Anton Stach opening the scoring after just eight minutes. The hosts then turned on the style in the second half, netting twice in four minutes through Noah Okafor and Calvert-Lewin to put the game beyond doubt. Loum Tchaouna's late consolation for the already-relegated Clarets did little to dampen the mood in West Yorkshire.

The win extends Leeds' unbeaten run to six Premier League matches and pushes them nine points clear of the relegation zone—a remarkable turnaround for a team that looked destined for the drop just months ago. With survival now firmly in their own hands, the momentum is building at just the right time.

Calvert-Lewin, who was instrumental in the victory, praised his teammates for executing the game plan to perfection. "We wanted to start with a lot of intensity, and I think we did that," he said. "We executed the game plan really well against a side that came in playing with nothing to lose, which can sometimes be dangerous. I'm pleased and proud of the boys for how we performed."

Reflecting on the team's resilience after a disappointing result at the weekend, the striker added: "The mood in camp has been good. We were fully focused on getting the job done tonight, and I think you could see that from the first whistle."

For Leeds fans, the dream of top-flight survival is becoming more real by the match. And with this kind of form, they might just be setting their sights even higher.
