Former UNC basketball player Caleb Wilson spoke with media members at the NBA Draft Combine about his season-ending injury and moving on to the draft process.

Caleb Wilson isn't just another name on the draft board—he's a man on a mission. At the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, the former UNC basketball star made it crystal clear to every team in attendance: pick him, and you're picking a franchise-changer.

"I'm gonna change their franchise. I'm gonna change the culture of their program and I'm gonna change the city, honestly," Wilson told ESPN2. "I'm a culture changer. I did the same thing at North Carolina. Whatever franchise chooses to draft me knows they're gonna get a winner, knows they're gonna get a leader and knows they're gonna get a culture changer."

That's the kind of confidence you'd expect from a projected top-four pick. After a standout one-and-done season with the Tar Heels, Wilson has the basketball world buzzing. USA TODAY currently has him going No. 3 overall to the Memphis Grizzlies, while ESPN slots him at No. 4 to the Chicago Bulls. Not bad for a 6-foot-10, 215-pound forward from Atlanta who plays every game like he's got something to prove.

And he's earned that respect. Wilson went head-to-head with the consensus top-three prospects in the draft—BYU's AJ Dybantsa, Kansas guard Darryn Peterson, and Duke forward Cameron Boozer—and came out swinging. In three games against that elite trio, including a preseason exhibition, Wilson averaged 23 points, 7 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks. Those numbers don't lie.

What makes Wilson special isn't just the stats, though. It's the edge. The 19-year-old admits he finds motivation wherever he can, channeling a certain Bulls legend in the process. "I always find something to make it personal, honestly," he said. "Just like Michael Jordan, I try my best to find something to piss me off. That's just what I do."

That competitive fire will serve him well as he prepares for the next step. When asked whether he'd rather join a playoff-ready team or be the cornerstone of a rebuilding franchise, Wilson didn't hesitate. He wants to be the guy, the leader, the one who changes everything. And with the draft lottery now set, the countdown is on to see which team gets that chance.
