Wilkes-Barre/Scranton dropped Game 2 of its playoff series against Hershey.

The Hershey Bears have roared back, evening their Calder Cup Playoffs Atlantic Division Semifinal series against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at one game apiece. After dropping Game 1, Hershey delivered a gritty 2-1 victory in Game 2, turning this best-of-seven showdown into a best-of-three sprint.

The Bears jumped out to a commanding 2-0 lead heading into the third period, putting the Penguins on their heels. But WBS refused to go quietly. Aidan McDonough, who has been a spark plug in this series, scored his second goal of the postseason early in the final frame to cut the deficit in half.

From there, it was all-out assault. The Penguins fired a relentless 22 shots at Hershey goaltender Clay Stevenson in the third period alone, but the netminder stood tall, finishing with an impressive 36 saves to preserve the win.

On the other end, WBS goaltender Sergei Murashov was equally spectacular, making a jaw-dropping save on a 3-on-1 rush that left fans—and teammates—in disbelief. His athleticism kept the Penguins within striking distance, and through two playoff games, Murashov boasts a stellar 2.04 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage.

With the series now knotted up, the action shifts to Hershey for Games 3 and 4. Puck drop for both contests is set for 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday and Thursday, promising more high-stakes, edge-of-your-seat hockey as these rivals battle for Atlantic Division supremacy.
