Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is dealing with an injury against the Dallas Wings. Here's what we know.

Caitlin Clark gave fans a scare in the Indiana Fever's season opener against the Dallas Wings on Saturday, briefly leaving the game with an apparent injury before returning to action.

The reigning Rookie of the Year started slow but caught fire in the third quarter, racking up 16 points. Then, with just over three minutes left in the period, Clark headed toward the locker room. ESPN's Holly Rowe reported that trainers worked on Clark while she was on the training table. She soon returned to the bench, adjusting something on her right leg and placing a wrap around her back before sitting next to teammate Lexie Hull.

Clark checked back in with 17.6 seconds left in the third, tossing aside the wrap at the last moment. She then took over the final possession, spinning past former Fever teammate Odyssey Sims for an easy layup with 1.4 seconds left. By then, she had 18 points on 50% shooting, five assists, and four rebounds.

But the drama wasn't over. Clark headed back to the locker room at the start of the fourth quarter, missing the opening minutes before returning at the 9:09 mark. While the Fever star seems to be managing some discomfort, her quick return and clutch play show she's ready to battle through it.

For Fever fans and WNBA followers, Clark's resilience is just another reason to keep an eye on her this season—and a reminder that every great player needs gear that can keep up with their intensity.
