The BYU men's basketball roster is seeing significant movement as the transfer window heats up. Following the news of point guard Robert Wright's departure, sophomore wing Dominique Diomande has also announced his entry into the transfer portal.

Diomande, a 6-foot-7 forward from Paris, spent his freshman year at Washington before joining the Cougars for the 2025-26 season. In his lone year in Provo, he appeared in 24 games, averaging 7.2 minutes, 1.9 points, and 1.3 rebounds per contest.

His role expanded at a crucial time. After teammate Richie Saunders suffered a season-ending ACL injury, Diomande stepped up during the Big 12 tournament. Over three games, his playing time jumped to 15 minutes per contest, where he contributed averages of 5.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and an impressive 3.0 steals per game, showcasing his defensive potential on the wing.

Diomande now becomes the third Cougar to enter the portal this cycle, joining Wright and center Xavion Staton. This flurry of activity underscores the dynamic and ever-changing nature of college basketball rosters in the modern era.
