April 27 (UPI) -- The Buffalo Bills shut down several teams who reached out with interest in trading for wide receiver Keon Coleman, general manager Brandon Beane said.

Beane spoke interest in Coleman during a radio interview Monday on WGR-550. Coleman, 22, is under contract through 2027. The second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has been the subject of trade speculation throughout the off-season.

"We had some people connect with us in Indianapolis, at least one team there, and a couple between there and the owners' meetings," Beane said. "But we shut those down. Our intention is for Keon to be here, and so I think the word was kind of out. So, no calls this weekend."

Beane said the Bills "hit the reset button" with Coleman and hopes the fan base follows suit. He also said he thinks Coleman's best year is "yet to come here in 2026."

D.J. Moore, Joshua Palmer and Khalil Shakir are among the top returning wide receivers on the Bills roster. Tyrell Shavers, Skyler Bell, Trent Sherfield and Mecole Hardman are among the other wide receivers on their roster.

The Bills selected Bell on Saturday in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. They traded for Moore in March. The Bills also signed undrafted free agent wide receivers Ja'Mori Maclin and Max Tomczak over the weekend.

Beane said the Bills thought Bell "was a baller" during their pre-draft evaluation process.

"The guy can play inside, can play outside," Beane said of Bell. "Is he a big-time vertical threat? No. But I think he does have enough juice."

Coleman totaled 404 yards and four scores on 38 catches over 13 appearances last season. He was a healthy scratch for four games. Beane said he expects competition between the unit entering training camp.

The Bills will hold organized team activities May 18, 19, 21, 26 to 28 and June 1 to 4. They will hold mandatory minicamp June 9 to 11.
