Bruno Fernandes has done it again. The Manchester United captain has been voted the Players' Player of the Season by his teammates for the second consecutive year—a testament to his enduring quality and leadership on the pitch.

Since arriving at Old Trafford in January 2020, the Portuguese playmaker has become the heartbeat of the Red Devils. His impact was immediate, winning the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year Award after just half a season. Now, at 31, Fernandes continues to defy expectations, aging like fine wine in a United shirt.

This season has been a rollercoaster for the club, but Fernandes has been the constant. Under former head coach Ruben Amorim's challenging 14-month tenure, the skipper adapted to a deeper midfield role, still managing five goals and seven assists in 17 appearances. When caretaker manager Michael Carrick took over in January and reinstated him to the No. 10 role, Fernandes exploded into form.

The numbers are staggering. With eight goals and 20 assists across all competitions in 35 outings, Fernandes is on the cusp of history. He has 19 assists in the Premier League alone—just one shy of the record held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. More impressively, he has created 124 chances in the league this season, the highest ever by a United player and the fourth-highest in Premier League history.

No player in the Premier League has created more chances since Fernandes arrived in 2020. He has been the one-stop solution to United's creative woes, a rare shining light in an otherwise inconsistent campaign.

The Players' Player of the Season award, decided by a confidential ballot at Carrington, marks Fernandes as the fifth United player to win it multiple times. For a player who has already etched his name into Old Trafford folklore, this latest honor proves that his best is still very much now.
