Buffalo will have a new forward and could have a new goalie when Bruins and Sabres line up for Game 3 on Thursday at TD Garden.
Noah Ostlund, who hasn’t played since the Sabres lost to the Bruins on March 25, will be back in the Buffalo lineup. Ostlund, who has been out with an injury, could likely give the struggling Sabres another look on the power play as well.
He’ll step in for Josh Norris, who is out with an injury and officially day-to-day.
Sabres coach Lindy Ruff doesn’t announce his starting goalie ahead of time. So it was unclear whether he planned to stick to Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who started Games 1 and 2 or if he’d switch to Alex Lyon, who replaced Luukkonen in Game 2.
