Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Denzel Boston got the surprise of a lifetime when he walked into the team's facility this week—and it had nothing to do with playbooks or practice drills.

During the 2026 NFL Draft, the Browns made a clear statement by overhauling their receiver corps, selecting Texas A&M's KC Concepcion and Washington's Denzel Boston within just 15 picks across Rounds 1 and 2. These two young pass-catchers are expected to join veteran Jerry Jeudy in forming a formidable trio for Cleveland's quarterback, whoever that may be.

But before Boston could even lace up his cleats for rookie minicamp, he got a glimpse of his new locker—and the nameplate next to it left him speechless.

"No way! Nah, nah because the homies are about to freak out when I tell them this. What?" Boston exclaimed, snapping a photo of his locker in disbelief.

His new locker mate? None other than defensive end Myles Garrett, the reigning AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year and the league's single-season sack record holder. Garrett set the NFL ablaze in 2025 with 23 sacks, pushing his career total to 125.5 over nine seasons with the Browns. A five-time first-team All-Pro, Garrett is widely regarded as one of the most dominant defensive players of his generation.

"I'm really next to the GOAT, all-time sack record," Boston said. "That's crazy. … I'm going to have to move my chair over, give him some space, you know what I mean?"

Sporting a hoodie emblazoned with Michael Jordan smoking a victory cigar, Boston took a moment to check out his own locker. He'll wear No. 12 for the Browns—the same number he donned during his standout career with the Washington Huskies.

Boston's college résumé speaks for itself. Over four seasons at Washington, he posted remarkably consistent numbers, catching 63 passes for 834 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024, followed by 62 receptions for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2025. He also added punt return duties, including a touchdown in his final season.

The Browns' rookies will take the field Friday through Sunday in Berea, Ohio, for their first official taste of NFL action. The full team will then gather for offseason OTAs in May and June before mandatory minicamp kicks off June 9–11.

For Boston, the journey has already started with a locker room moment he'll never forget—and a reminder that in Cleveland, greatness is never far away.
