The Cleveland Browns added something they desperately needed on night one of the 2026 NFL draft, a dynamic playmaker in WR KC Concepcion with the 24th overall pick. There are concerns about some drop issues with Concepcion, but former star wide receiver Steve Smith thinks his talent and playmaking ability are worth risking a few drops here and there.
In a clip from Smith’s podcast before the draft, he asked the question of whether you are willing to pass on him because of some drops while showing clips of him creating explosive plays after the catch.
Smith and Palmer talked about how good a route runner he is and how he goes for home-run plays and succeeds. In the end, Smith says you would be leaving a lot of meat on the bone if you passed him up because of drops, and clearly the Browns agreed with the sentiment, taking him with the 24th pick.
