With the 2026 NFL draft in our rearview mirror, the Cleveland Browns prepare for rookie minicamp, followed by OTAs and mandatory minicamp. All of a sudden, NFL free agency has picked back up around the NFL, including the Browns adding FB Michael Burton and losing CB Martin Emerson Jr. to the New Orleans Saints.
While the conversation around Cleveland is all about the report from Mary Kay Cabot about QB Deshaun Watson being the clear favorite for the starting quarterback job, with Shedeur Sanders clearly behind, NFL free agency marches on. The 2025 Browns roster had a number of players still sitting on the free agent market.
On Wednesday, one of their defenders got taken off that list with DT Shelby Harris signing with the New York Giants:

In three seasons in Cleveland, Harris played in 48 games with 25 starts. The former seventh-round pick contributed 97 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 13 QB hits, and four sacks in those three years. Entering his 12th season in the NFL, Harris turns 35 years old in August.
Perhaps the best moment from Harris’ time with the Browns came when he gave this high five after DE Myles Garrett set the single-season sack record:

How will you remember Harris’ time with the Browns?
