The 2026 NFL Draft is finally here, and the excitement surrounding the Cleveland Browns continues to grow prior to the primetime event.
General manager Andrew Berry possesses two first-round picks in this year's draft class, which will presumably be filled by offensive players. Still, it remains unclear as to what the struggling franchise could do on Thursday night, but NFL Draft expert Dane Brugler may have offered some clarity in his final mock draft.
Brugler began his mock draft by bolstering the Browns' offensive line with Utah tackle Spencer Fano, who is widely considered the pick for Cleveland if Berry stays at No. 6.
"The Browns have undergone an offensive line facelift this offseason but aren’t done with the transformation," Brugler wrote. "Fano is a top-tier athlete with multi-positional versatility, which would give Cleveland options for how to get its best five linemen on the field."
While many Browns fans are pleading with the organization to select Ohio State star receiver Carnell Tate with their first pick, there's a good chance that there will be a run on offensive tackles in the middle of round one, causing Berry to land his starting tackle in the top-10.
Fano is regarded as one of the best offensive tackles in this year's draft class, as he allowed five quarterback hurries and zero sacks over 382 pass blocking snaps in 2025. Despite the former Utes standout being a well-rounded lineman, there are concerns surrounding his arm length, along with the fact that he would likely have to transition into the left tackle position with the Browns.
In addition to selecting Fano at pick No. 6, Brugler proceeded to follow up the decision with Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion later in round one.
"The Browns got ahead of the offensive tackle run earlier in this mock and still have several wide receiver options at No. 24," Brugler wrote. "Concepcion comes with a few question marks, but his dynamic talent is what the Browns are missing on offense."
After avoiding the massive run on offensive tackles that could happen in the middle of round one in this scenario, Cleveland takes a gamble on one of the most electric playmakers in this year's class.
Concepcion lacked true production throughout his college career, as he finished the 2025 college football season with 919 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. However, his impressive 15.1 yards per catch makes him an excellent fit for head coach Todd Monkens' offense in 2026, which benefits from pass catchers that excel at creating yards after the catch.
