Cleveland Browns insider revealed a possible trade candidate for the team before 2026 NFL season.

The Cleveland Browns are already looking ahead to the 2026 NFL season, and after another impressive draft from general manager Andrew Berry, the team is hoping to build some serious momentum. This year's draft class is loaded with offensive talent, headlined by star offensive tackle Spencer Fano. But Berry didn't stop there—he also made it a priority to stock the cupboard for whoever ends up under center, adding dynamic weapons like Texas A&M's KC Concepcion and Washington's Denzel Boston. These two rookies are expected to play big roles in the Browns' offense this season and beyond.

However, with all these new faces in the receiver room, some veteran players might find themselves on the outside looking in. Browns insider Zac Jackson recently broke down the team's depth chart and suggested that wide receiver Cedric Tillman could be a prime trade candidate this offseason. "The Browns like Bond and hope he can ascend with his first full offseason," Jackson noted. "But the arrival of Concepcion takes reps away from Bond—and could end up knocking him well down the line. Boston and Tillman are true outside receivers, and it becomes fair to wonder if the Browns eventually look to trade Tillman this summer."

Tillman, a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has had an underwhelming start to his pro career. After a quiet rookie season, the former Tennessee standout showed some flashes in 2024, hauling in 29 catches for 339 yards and three touchdowns. But just when it looked like he might be turning a corner, Tillman took a step back last season. The 26-year-old managed only 270 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games, struggling to carve out a consistent role in a Browns offense that was plagued by dysfunction in 2025.

Now, with a fresh wave of talent coming in, Tillman's time in Cleveland could be running short. For a team looking to gear up for a competitive 2026 season, moving on from an underperforming veteran might be the smart play—especially if it opens up more opportunities for the new crop of playmakers. Whether Tillman gets traded or stays to fight for his spot, one thing is clear: the Browns' receiver depth chart is getting crowded, and not everyone will make the cut.
