There could be a number of teams interested.

The Cleveland Browns' quarterback room could be getting even more crowded, and the latest name to watch is Brendan Sorsby.

According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Browns are among several teams expected to show interest in Sorsby if he enters the NFL's supplemental draft process. The quarterback-needy Jets, Cardinals, and Dolphins are also in the mix.

Sorsby, who transferred from Cincinnati to Texas Tech this offseason, is currently under NCAA investigation for gambling-related issues. If he's ruled ineligible, entering the supplemental draft becomes a logical next step. In that process, teams essentially bid a future draft pick—Breer predicts a second-rounder could be the price—for the rights to a player.

For Cleveland, adding Sorsby would mean joining a depth chart that already includes Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and newly drafted Taylen Green. That's a lot of helmets in the huddle, and it would almost certainly trigger additional roster moves.

The other interested teams have their own intriguing storylines. The Jets, Browns, and Cardinals could view the stacked 2027 NFL Draft class as a long-term quarterback solution, but one of them might decide Sorsby is worth the gamble now. The Dolphins, meanwhile, could see him as insurance behind Malik Willis.

Regardless of where he lands, Sorsby's potential arrival adds another layer of drama to an already fascinating quarterback landscape. Stay tuned—this one is far from settled.
