Two things can be true at one time: on paper, the Cleveland Browns crushed the NFL Draft, and the people betting on them to win the Super Bowl are crazy.
Yes, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, since the conclusion of this year's draft, the Cleveland Browns are the most bet team to win the Super Bowl in the 2026 NFL season. If you think that is crazy, you would be right. As it stands right now, the Browns are +25000 to win the championship next year.
As the saying goes, Vegas wasn't built on winners, and I'm sure that the people at FanDuel are already cashing their Christmas bonuses on this market alone.

Whether that is true or not is one thing; the other is that Cleveland is putting together a very solid offseason this year. That part is undeniable and frankly, weird to say. It has been a long time since anyone has gotten to say that this team is putting together a good offseason.
We are coming off of four or five offseasons where they have made a major move in free agency or trade, and then put up an average to below-average draft.
This year, that hasn't been the case. They attacked free agency by looking through a narrow scope and addressing their needs in a very financially sound way. Three months ago, Cleveland had no offensive line, literally no offensive line, and they were not the most attractive destination in the entire NFL.
They methodically acquired talent. A trade for Tytus Howard, the signing of Zion Johnson, the signing of Elgton Jenkins, resign Tevon Jenkins, along with many others, had the trend line pointing up.
Then, the Browns came into the NFL Draft and put together the best draft in the league on paper. From a rankings perspective, Cleveland really could not have put together a better draft. They got great players at valuable spots and came out of the draft feeling like winners.
All together, the Browns have remade their roster in a significant way and will be feeling good going into Training Camp. With that said, what they have done this offseason does not make them legitimate Super Bowl contenders. I do believe that their window is open. Once they can rinse a couple of contracts off their books and add some veteran talent, this is a group that will have its eyes set on the future.
Hang onto those Super Bowl bets, give it a year or two until it is legit.
