Cleveland Browns' 2026 second-round pick, Denzel Boston, recently discussed his progress from this offseason and rookie minicamp.

The Cleveland Browns' 2026 rookie minicamp has wrapped up, giving fans an exciting first look at the team's standout draft class. While much of the buzz surrounded first-round picks Spencer Fano and KC Concepcion, another rookie wide receiver is already making his presence felt.

Denzel Boston, the Browns' second-round selection (No. 39 overall), spoke to the media for the first time on Saturday, sharing insights into his offseason progress. The former Washington Huskies star revealed he's been laser-focused on sharpening his route-running skills, specifically improving his quickness coming out of breaks. "I put a lot of emphasis on that during training and even leading into the Combine," Boston explained. "Learning how to sink my hips better has helped me become more explosive out of my routes."

Boston's college resume speaks volumes. Over his final two seasons at Washington, the 22-year-old racked up 1,715 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns on 125 receptions, establishing himself as a reliable red-zone threat. That production caught the eye of Browns general manager Andrew Berry, who landed Boston early in the second round after he surprisingly fell out of Day 1 of the draft.

Now paired with fellow rookie receiver KC Concepcion, Boston is set to inject youth and dynamism into Cleveland's receiving corps for the 2026 season. Reflecting on his minicamp performance, Boston was characteristically humble. "I think I performed decently well," he said. "But there's always more on the bone to go get. I'm a rookie—I still have a lot to improve on. These past few days, I've done a good job, but I'm just getting started."

For Browns fans eager to see the next generation of playmakers, Boston's work ethic and self-awareness are promising signs of what's to come.
