The Cleveland Browns were expected to select a wide receiver, like Carnell Tate, or an offensive tackle if they didn’t trade down at the top of the 2026 NFL draft. With the draft flying by, the Browns traded the sixth overall pick to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for the ninth overall pick, #74, and #141.
While that trade was being reported, the New York Giants were still on the clock, and their selection of edge rusher Arvell Reese had not been announced yet.
With the trade, the Browns now have 11 selections in this year’s draft, with more trades possible on Thursday night:
GM Andrew Berry could still make a number of trades, but currently has three of the first nine trades in the fifth round.
