The top-ranked Brother Martin Crusaders are packing their bags for Sulphur once again. After a dominant performance Friday night, they punched their ticket to the Division I Select championship series with a sweep of No. 4 St. Thomas More at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.

The Crusaders showed why they're the team to beat, delivering a complete performance in game two of the semifinal series. From the first pitch to the final out, Brother Martin played with the confidence of a team that's been here before—and they have. This marks the second straight year the Crusaders will compete for a state title.

The victory sets up a championship showdown next week at McMurry Park. Brother Martin will face the winner of the other semifinal series between No. 3 John Curtis and No. 2 Catholic of Baton Rouge. Both are formidable opponents, but the Crusaders have proven they can handle the pressure of big games.

The Division I Select championship series begins Thursday at 5:30 p.m. For Brother Martin, it's a chance to finish what they started—and for their fans, it's time to gear up for another thrilling run in Sulphur.
