Marquette women's basketball just secured a major building block for the future. On Thursday, 6'1" wing Brooklyn Hall, a highly-touted transfer from South Florida, announced her commitment to play for head coach Cara Consuegra and the Golden Eagles.
While technically a transfer, Hall will be making her official collegiate debut in Milwaukee. She arrives with a full four years of eligibility, perfectly aligning with the start of the 2026-27 season as Coach Consuegra continues to construct her roster.
Hall's path to Marquette has been unique. Originally a Class of 2026 signee for USF, she enrolled mid-year after head coach Jose Fernandez departed for the WNBA's Dallas Wings. Instead of reopening her recruitment, she went to Tampa, only to enter the transfer portal this April following the hiring of new Bulls coach Kristy Curry.
This move reunites Hall with a familiar face. Marquette's new assistant coach, Sheila Boykin, spent the last three seasons at South Florida and was instrumental in Hall's initial recruitment and enrollment. Combined with Coach Consuegra's early scholarship offer back in 2024, the connection made Marquette a natural fit for the talented wing's next chapter.
For Golden Eagles fans, Hall represents a significant long-term addition. Her size, skill, and four years of potential development provide a cornerstone for the program's ascent in the Big East. It's an exciting get for a team looking to make its mark.
