The Denver Broncos may soon be adding another quarterback to the roster.

The Denver Broncos are gearing up for their upcoming rookie minicamp, scheduled from May 8-10, and they're making some intriguing moves under center. The team has reportedly invited multiple quarterbacks to try out, including a name that will immediately catch the attention of football fans everywhere: E.J. Warner, the son of Hall of Fame quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner.

Warner brings an impressive college resume to the table. After stints at Temple and Rice, he finished his collegiate career at Fresno State, amassing 10,844 passing yards, 71 touchdowns, and 48 interceptions. While he's yet to prove himself at the professional level, his pedigree and production make him a fascinating prospect to watch during minicamp.

Joining Warner in Denver will be veteran quarterback Nathan Peterman, as reported by Broncos 9News insider Mike Klis. At 32 years old, Peterman has carved out a nearly decade-long NFL career despite limited starting opportunities—just five career starts since being drafted in the fifth round by the Buffalo Bills in 2017. His journeyman path has included stops with the Raiders (two separate stints), Bears, Saints, and most recently the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad. While his career stats (53% completion rate, 712 yards, four touchdowns, and 13 interceptions) may not jump off the page, his experience makes him a reliable "camp arm" for throwing to rookies during drills.

This quarterback influx comes at a critical time for the Broncos. With starter Bo Nix still rehabbing a broken ankle, it's unclear how much preseason action he'll see. Adding another arm to the mix—whether it's Warner, Peterman, or both—could provide valuable depth and competition heading into the 90-player roster build. At the very least, these quarterbacks will help the team's new draft picks and undrafted free agents get acclimated to the offensive system during the three-day camp.

For Broncos fans and quarterback enthusiasts alike, this minicamp just got a whole lot more interesting. Whether Warner can channel his father's legendary arm or Peterman can finally seize a meaningful opportunity, Denver's quarterback room is worth keeping an eye on this spring.
