The Denver Broncos are stacking up their rookie minicamp roster, and the running back room is getting some serious attention. The latest name to join the invite list is Kent State running back Jordan Nubin, as announced by the Golden Flashes this week.
Nubin, standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 215 pounds, brings a solid college resume to the table. He spent his first three seasons at Minnesota, where he had a breakout year in 2023—rushing 127 times for 559 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games with the Golden Gophers. Looking for a fresh start, he transferred to Kent State ahead of the 2025 season, tallying 79 carries for 253 yards and one score last fall. Over his four-year college career, Nubin finished with 226 carries, 857 rushing yards, and four touchdowns.
The Broncos aren't stopping there. They've invited at least two other running backs to the rookie minicamp, bringing the total known invites to 33 players. This depth-building move is a classic NFL strategy, as teams look to unearth hidden gems and add competition to the roster.
For context, Denver hosted 59 players at their rookie minicamp in 2025, including four first-year players, 22 combined drafted rookies and undrafted free agents (UDFAs), 29 rookie tryout players, and four veteran tryout players. This year, the Broncos have already secured seven drafted rookies, 14 UDFAs, at least 28 rookie invites, and at least four veterans. The rookie minicamp is set to take place from May 8-10, giving these hopefuls a chance to prove their mettle.
Whether you're a Broncos fan eyeing the next breakout star or just love the grind of training camp season, this is a reminder that every roster spot is earned. Stay tuned as the list continues to grow!
