After selecting seven players in the 2026 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos agreed to terms with 14 undrafted free agents (they'll have to make a few roster cuts to make room for them). In addition to those UDFAs, Denver will also invite a host of tryout players to attend rookie minicamp next month.

So far, our unofficial tracker has 23 players invited to minicamp, including a pair of running backs. The first is Montana State's Julius Davis (5-10, 210 pounds), who rushed for 1,123 yards and eight touchdowns last fall. Before his three seasons with the Bobcats, Davis spent four years at Wisconsin, so he's entering the NFL following seven seasons at the college level.

The second running back is Sacramento State's Rodney Hammond (5-9, 195 pounds), who rushed for 1,213 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025. Hammond spent four years with the Pitt Panthers before transferring to Sac State. Denver had four running backs at last year's rookie minicamp, so it wouldn't be surprising to see at least one more invited in 2026.

The Broncos are also looking to bring in a veteran quarterback for a minicamp tryout, according to the Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson. Denver hosted Ian Book at last year's rookie camp after Desmond Ridder backed out of a veteran tryout due to what was described as a "scheduling conflict."

Denver hosted 59 players at rookie minicamp in 2025, including four first-year players, 22 drafted rookies and signed UDFAs, 29 rookie tryout players and four veteran tryout players. If the Broncos aim to have similar numbers at this year's camp, fans should expect around seven to ten more rookies to be invited. We will continue to track all of Denver's minicamp invites on Broncos Wire.
