The Milwaukee Brewers have been waiting all season for their star-studded lineup to finally take the field together. That wait is officially over. Christian Yelich has been activated from the injured list after recovering from an adductor strain, bringing the Brewers' offense back to full strength for the first time this year.

To make room on the roster, the team optioned infielder Tyler Black to Triple-A. It's a tough break for Black, who was hitting an impressive .333 with an .839 OPS and a 135 OPS+ during his first extended run in the majors. While his exit velocities weren't eye-popping, the results were undeniable, and he's put himself in a strong position for a recall when the next opportunity arises.

Before his injury, Yelich was off to one of his best starts in recent seasons. Through his first games, he slashed .314 with a home run, 10 RBIs, 10 runs scored, and a 132 OPS+. That production was crucial in keeping the lineup afloat after the Brewers lost Jackson Chourio and Andrew Vaughn in the first two games of the season.

With Brandon Lockridge currently on the IL due to a knee laceration and bone bruise, Yelich could see more time in left field rather than exclusively serving as the designated hitter. That flexibility should only add to manager Pat Murphy's options.

Now, imagine this top five in the order: Chourio, Brice Turang, Yelich, William Contreras, and Vaughn. That's a lineup with depth, power, and on-base ability—something the Brewers have been missing for the first six weeks. Despite playing without their full complement of stars, Milwaukee still managed to sit six games over .500. Now, with Yelich back in the fold, the Crew has the firepower to make a serious run.

For Brewers fans, this is the lineup they've been waiting for. And for the rest of the league, it's a warning that the best may be yet to come in Milwaukee.
