Brentford FC has soared to the top of the Premier League's Matchday Fan Experience and Engagement Survey, reclaiming first place for the first time since the 2022/23 season. After finishing second in the previous two campaigns, the Bees have now taken the crown with an impressive overall score of 80.8—a testament to the club's ongoing investment in making matchdays at the Gtech Community Stadium truly special.
This isn't just a victory on paper; it's a win driven by the fans themselves. The survey gathered responses from nearly 32,000 match-attending supporters across all Premier League clubs, with over 1,100 Brentford fans weighing in—a significant increase from last year. And the feedback is glowing: Brentford ranks in the top six across every single measurement in the league.
The atmosphere at the Gtech continues to be a standout feature, with 96% of supporters feeling positive about the energy on matchdays, and 95% saying the club provides an inclusive experience for everyone. Families are particularly well-catered for, and the club's approach to handling negative fan behavior keeps incidents well below the league average.
But it's not just about what happens in the stands. Brentford has been listening to fan feedback and acting on it. In-stadium Wi-Fi was introduced, and the club hosted tasting events for new matchday food and drink items—moves that earned them third place for Wi-Fi connectivity and second for food and drink quality and range. The attitude and performance of club staff, especially the ticket office team, also ranked top, a particularly impressive feat in a season that saw the introduction of digital ticketing.
Off the pitch, the love affair continues. A remarkable 98% of Bees fans feel the club is well-run, and Brentford placed first for openness and transparency in communications, scoring highly for listening to its supporters. As Sally Stephens, Fan and Community Relations Director, put it: "Returning to the top of the table is a fantastic achievement." For fans and the club alike, this is a championship worth celebrating.
