New York Jets running back Breece Hall has a message for the fans, and it's one of gratitude and determination.
After weeks of uncertainty surrounding his future with the team, Hall and the Jets agreed to a massive four-year, $45.75 million extension. The deal puts an end to any speculation about his long-term status and locks in one of the league's most dynamic young playmakers through at least the 2029 season.
Shortly after the news broke, Hall took to social media to share a heartfelt note with the Jets faithful.
"Shoutout everyone in my corner. Lot of work left to do. God Bless #JETS," he wrote, pairing the message with an emoji of a heart and folded hands. It was a simple but powerful reminder that while the contract is signed, his mission in New York is far from complete.
The extension comes after a whirlwind offseason for the Jets, which began with the trade of defensive end Jermaine Johnson to the Tennessee Titans and the franchise tag placed on Hall. That tag provided short-term security, but this new deal gives Hall the long-term stability he's earned through four seasons of steady improvement.
Hall, who turns 25 on May 31, was selected by the Jets in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. His rookie season was modest — 463 rushing yards and four touchdowns — but he broke out in a big way in 2023, rushing for 994 yards and five scores as the team's starter. He followed that with 876 yards and five touchdowns in 2024, then delivered his first 1,000-yard campaign in 2025, racking up 1,065 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
What makes Hall truly special, though, is his versatility. He's not just a between-the-tackles runner; he's a legitimate weapon in the passing game. Last season alone, he caught 36 of 48 targets for 350 yards and a touchdown. Over his career, he's hauled in 188 passes for 1,642 yards and nine touchdowns — numbers that put him among the most productive dual-threat backs in the league.
At just 24 years old (turning 25 later this month), Hall is entering the prime of his career. With the Jets committing nearly $46 million to keep him in green and white, it's clear they believe the best is yet to come. And based on his message to fans, Hall is ready to prove them right.
