Breanna Stewart is no stranger to the winner's circle—and she's proving it once again as she enters her 10th season in the WNBA. The New York Liberty star recently sat down with Cosmo Sports to reflect on a milestone year: the league's 30th anniversary, the historic new Collective Bargaining Agreement, and her own journey from college phenom to professional powerhouse.

If you've seen Stewie lately, chances are she's been celebrating. In early March, fresh off winning the Unrivaled Championship—the innovative three-on-three league she co-founded—she sat at a press conference in Miami, championship T-shirt soaked with sweat, Finals MVP trophy in hand. It was the kind of moment that reminds you why she's one of the most decorated players in women's basketball.

"That specific group was really special," Stewart said of her Mist BC squad. "I've won a lot, fortunately, and in those small moments, sometimes you overlook them. They helped me remember back to my first time, and I wanted to help them create that memory. Because once you do it, you want to keep doing it."

"A lot" might be an understatement. At the University of Connecticut—the gold standard of women's college basketball—Stewart and her teammates won four consecutive NCAA National Championships. That's right: she never lost a title in her entire college career. When she entered the WNBA as the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2016, she joined the Seattle Storm and promptly added two more championships in 2018 and 2020.

Now, as a starting forward for the New York Liberty since 2023, Stewart forms one-third of the team's formidable "big three" alongside Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones. In 2024, she helped lead the Liberty to the WNBA Finals, cementing her reputation as a player who elevates every team she joins.

Beyond the court, Stewart is helping shape the future of the game. The WNBA's 30th season arrives with a landmark CBA that promises better pay, benefits, and working conditions for players—a victory Stewart and her peers fought hard to achieve. And with Unrivaled entering its second year, she's creating new opportunities for athletes to stay sharp and earn during the offseason.

When she's not dominating on the hardwood, Stewart is exploring her new home city like a true New Yorker. From hitting up classic hotspots to discovering hidden gems, she's embracing everything the Big Apple has to offer—proving that whether she's lifting trophies or grabbing a bite in Brooklyn, Breanna Stewart is changing the game, on and off the court.
