Brazilian star João Pedro has heaped praise on Bayern Munich's Harry Kane, suggesting the England captain has what it takes to claim football's most prestigious individual honor this year.

"Can he win the Ballon d'Or? In my opinion, yes. Because he's an extraordinary player," the Chelsea forward told TNT Sports Brazil in a recent interview.

Pedro, who will face off against Kane at the 2026 World Cup next month, recalled firsthand experience of the striker's dominance. "I played against him when I was at Watford and he was at Tottenham Hotspur, and even then he totally dominated the game," he said.

The Brazilian attacker noted that Kane's move to Bayern Munich has only amplified his impact. "He was already having extraordinary numbers in the Premier League, but now seeing him at Bayern, we can really get a picture of the quality that he possesses."

With Kane leading the line for both club and country, Pedro's endorsement adds to the growing chorus of admirers backing the 31-year-old for the Ballon d'Or. "I have a lot of admiration for him. I'm always rooting for him because he's a fantastic player," Pedro added.
