The Brazilian Women's Beach Soccer National Team concluded their Acapulco Cup journey in style last Saturday, securing a commanding 5-0 victory over host nation Mexico. While the win cemented a second-place finish for the Seleção, the tournament title was claimed by the United States, who remained perfect throughout the competition.

The final match began as a tense defensive battle, with a spirited Mexican side buoyed by their home crowd holding Brazil to a scoreless first period. The deadlock was spectacularly broken in the second period by goalkeeper Valéria, who unleashed a stunning long-range strike to score her first-ever goal for the national team. The momentum shifted decisively in Brazil's favor just minutes later when winger Mayara cleverly redirected another Valéria shot into the net, doubling the lead.

The third period belonged entirely to winger Taii, who delivered a masterclass in finishing. She completed a remarkable hat-trick with a penalty, a powerful long-range effort, and a spectacular bicycle kick. This trio of goals brought her career total for the national team to 21, tying the legendary Dani Barboza's all-time scoring record.

"It’s a very special moment to reach this personal milestone, but the most important thing will always be helping the National Team win," said Taii after the match. "I was very happy with the three goals and our team’s victory."

Head coach Rose Andrade highlighted the team's progress, viewing the tournament as a positive step in a new cycle. "We went from a third-place finish in El Salvador to second place in the Acapulco Cup, so there was progress," she noted, emphasizing the broader development process underway for the squad.
