The Boston Celtics were eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, and Brad Stevens spoke about what the team needs to do better to make a deeper run next season.

Brad Stevens just dropped a major hint that has Celtics fans buzzing about a potential blockbuster trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo. After Boston's shocking first-round playoff exit, the team's president of basketball operations didn't hold back on what needs to change.

The Celtics leaned heavily on the three-point shot all season, ranking fourth in the league in attempts from beyond the arc. While that strategy paid off during the regular season, Stevens saw a different story in the playoffs. Against the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston struggled to generate quality looks, and Stevens made it clear where the team fell short.

"My general feeling watching us play in really each of the last two playoffs — the second round against New York, even against Orlando in the first round (last year) — was we had a hard time generating really good looks on that first shot," Stevens explained. "So we've got to figure out a way to do better in that, and I think that one of the things that we've got to figure out is how to have more of an impact at the rim. And I think we do need to add to our team to do that."

That's where Giannis enters the conversation. If you need someone to dominate at the rim, there's arguably no better player in the NBA than the two-time MVP. Trade rumors have swirled around Antetokounmpo for over a year, and NBA insider Marc Stein recently named the Celtics as a team to watch in the Giannis sweepstakes.

Stevens has never been afraid to make bold moves. With the Greek Freak potentially on the trade block, Boston looks like a natural fit. Antetokounmpo brings everything Stevens is looking for: a 10-time All-Star, nine-time All-NBA selection, and a defensive force who can absolutely wreck the paint. Pairing him with Jayson Tatum would create one of the most fearsome duos in the league — even if it means breaking up the Brown-Tatum partnership.

For a team that needs interior scoring and defensive versatility, Giannis isn't just an upgrade. He's the kind of game-changer that could transform the Celtics from first-round exits into championship contenders.
