Big news out of College Station: Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class just got a whole lot more secure. Four-star commit Hakim Frampton took to social media on Thursday to announce he's officially shutting down his recruitment, putting an end to any hopes other programs had of flipping him from the Aggies.
The San Antonio standout pledged to Texas A&M back on September 27, 2025—the same day he made an unofficial visit to campus. It was a swift move for a player who'd been on the Aggies' radar since receiving a scholarship offer in June 2024, following multiple visits that clearly sealed the deal. Frampton wasn't short on suitors, either, holding offers from Auburn, Arkansas, UCLA, and others before locking in with head coach Mike Elko's program.
Ranked as the No. 410 overall prospect and No. 31 athlete in the 247Sports composite, Frampton is also slotted as the No. 55 player in the talent-rich state of Texas. While he's listed as an athlete, the Aggies are projecting him to make his mark at cornerback—a position where his versatility could pay immediate dividends.
Frampton's junior season at Little Rock High School was a showcase of his three-phase ability. On offense, he hauled in 37 receptions for 724 yards and nine touchdowns as a wide receiver. On defense, he logged 46 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and three pass breakups at cornerback. And on special teams, he averaged a blistering 27.8 yards per kickoff return, taking one all the way to the house.
Frampton's decision is the latest win for a Texas A&M recruiting class that's currently ranked No. 2 in the nation by 247Sports. The momentum doesn't stop there—the Aggies are also in the mix for five-star offensive tackle Mark Matthews, who's set to announce his commitment on Friday. With Frampton locked in and more talent potentially on the way, the buzz around Aggieland is only getting louder.
