Manchester United fans were left concerned as in-form striker Benjamin Sesko was forced off at halftime during the club's clash with Liverpool, following a stunning first-half display that saw him notch his 11th Premier League goal of the season.

The Slovenian forward had been electrifying, causing constant problems for Liverpool's defense and looking every bit the clinical finisher United have relied on this campaign. However, the halftime substitution suggests an injury setback has struck at the worst possible time for manager Michael Carrick.

Amad Diallo, who was dropped from the starting XI, replaced Sesko but endured a nightmare start to his shift. The young winger, still searching for form, played a loose ball directly to Dominik Szoboszlai, who drove forward and slotted past Senne Lammens to hand Liverpool a lifeline early in the second half.

This isn't the first time Amad has struggled recently. Against Brentford last time out, he was hauled off after just 45 minutes following a lackluster performance. Gary Neville had predicted the 23-year-old would lose his starting spot, especially with Matheus Cunha available—a prediction that proved correct before kick-off.

Cunha, who returned to the XI, opened the scoring with his ninth goal of his debut season in red, showing exactly why he's become a fan favorite at Old Trafford. But the focus now shifts to Amad, who faces a massive 40 minutes to prove his worth and climb back up in Carrick's plans ahead of next Saturday's trip to face his former club, Sunderland.

For United supporters, this injury scare to Sesko is a bitter blow, especially after witnessing his incredible first-half performance that left Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk red-faced. With the transfer window approaching, fans will be hoping this setback is minor and the in-form striker can return quickly to continue his remarkable season.
