Binghamton softball is making a habit of championship celebrations. The Bearcats clinched their second straight America East title with a dominant performance against UMass Lowell, earning a coveted spot in the NCAA Tournament—and a date with powerhouse Oklahoma.

The journey to the trophy was nothing short of dramatic. Trailing 7-0 after four innings in Game 1, Binghamton erupted for an eight-run sixth inning, transforming a seemingly hopeless deficit into a 10-8 victory. That offensive explosion set the tone for the series, with the Bearcats following up with a steady 4-2 win in Game 2 on Saturday, May 9.

At the heart of the run was Rachel Carey, the America East Player of the Year, who earned Most Outstanding Player honors after batting .471 with eight hits and 12 RBIs. She was joined on the all-tournament team by pitchers Delaney Glover and Olivia Kennedy, along with first baseman/designated player Lauren Payne.

Now, the Bearcats (20-25) face their biggest challenge yet: Oklahoma (48-8), a perennial national contender. The double-elimination Norman Regional begins Friday, May 15 at 3:30 PM ET on SEC Network, and Binghamton will need all the offensive firepower and defensive grit they showed in the conference tournament to keep their season alive.
