Friday night in Pittsburgh, the Buffalo Bills were sitting at pick No. 66 in the third round. Ohio State cornerback Davison Igbinosun was still on the board.

The Bills decided not to wait. They traded up with the Denver Broncos, sending the 66th pick and a sixth-round selection to jump into the second round at No. 62 and take Igbinosun before anyone else could get there.

When the call went through, the moment was audible:

"We just traded up with Denver to come get you," Brandon Beane told him on the draft call, as shared by the official Buffalo Bills X account. Igbinosun responded with genuine disbelief.

Bills' HC Joe Brady got on and told him plainly: "You deserve this, man. You earned it, man. Take it all in, and just come up here and be you, bro."

Igbinosun played 56 collegiate games and started 53 of them. He finished his career with 194 tackles, four interceptions, 27 pass breakups, and three fumble recoveries, spending three seasons at Ohio State after his freshman year at Ole Miss.

Last season he was named First-Team All-Big Ten. Per On3's coverage of the pick, he allowed just 22 receptions and zero touchdowns in coverage throughout the 2025 season.

He has a physical, press-heavy style with long arms and heavy hands. He visited Buffalo before the draft, connected with cornerbacks coach Jay Valai, and reunited with safety Jordan Hancock, his former Ohio State teammate. He said after the call that it "just made sense."
