The Bills might want to fix this.

The Buffalo Bills have had a productive offseason, with general manager Brandon Beane addressing several roster gaps. But for all the moves made, one critical hole remains—and it could spell trouble for quarterback Josh Allen.

The biggest fix came at wide receiver, where the Bills traded for D.J. Moore. Yet the left guard position has been left largely untouched, and that oversight might come back to haunt them. In an offense built around Joe Brady's scheme, the offensive line is the engine that powers both the run and pass game. Losing David Edwards to the Saints in free agency without a clear replacement has created a glaring weakness.

ESPN's Aaron Schatz highlighted the issue: "After David Edwards left for the Saints in free agency, the Bills have a few options at the position but no clear starter." He suggested a potential solution: veteran Joel Bitonio, who spent his entire career in Cleveland and could be enticed to sign for less in pursuit of a Super Bowl ring in Buffalo.

Currently, Alec Anderson is projected to start at left guard alongside tackle Dion Dawkins. While the line isn't in complete disarray, Anderson's inexperience raises questions. The Bills could dip into free agency for an upgrade—not necessarily a star, but someone more reliable than Anderson. For now, Buffalo may wait to see how Anderson performs in training camp before making a final call.

One thing is clear: the offensive line is a position the Bills can't afford to get wrong in 2026. With Allen under center, protecting him is paramount—and left guard remains the biggest question mark on an otherwise improved roster.
