The BIG3 is bringing its electrifying 3-on-3 basketball action back to Detroit this summer—and this time, it's a doubleheader for fans of the Motor City.
Co-founded by Ice Cube, the fast-paced league will make two stops at Little Caesars Arena: Saturday, June 27 (3:30 p.m. tipoff) and Thursday, July 23 (8 p.m.). These games are part of a 13-date summer schedule that kicks off June 20 in Inglewood, California.
This marks the BIG3's ninth season, dubbed "The 9th Wonder in the Summer," and Detroit is one of eight cities hosting a team. The Detroit Amps—formed in 2025—will compete alongside the Boston Ball Hogs, Chicago Triplets, Dallas Power, DMV Trilogy, Houston Rig Hands, LA Riot, and defending champion Miami 305.
Last season, the Amps were coached by NBA and Eastern Michigan legend George Gervin. The roster featured seven-time NBA All-Star Joe Johnson, along with Darnell Jackson, Jeremy Pargo, Ray Nixon, and Shakur Juiston—a lineup that brought plenty of experience and flair to the court.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via 313Presents.com, BIG3.com/tickets, and Ticketmaster.com. With two chances to catch the action, Detroit hoops fans won't want to miss the summer's most exciting 3-on-3 showdowns.
