There are pitchers who dominate, and then there are pitchers who put on a show. Alexis Jensen did both in the Big Ten Softball Semifinal, powering the #2 Nebraska Huskers to a commanding 5-0 victory over Indiana and punching their ticket to the championship game.

If you haven't watched Jensen pitch yet, fix that. Grab some snacks, settle in, and find the replay on the Big Ten Network. She's worth staying up for. Jensen is a rare mix of fierce competitor and joyful personality—serious about her craft but never afraid to have fun. Her pre-game ritual says it all: red face paint, sunglasses, a Miyagi-do-style bandanna, and that million-dollar smile. She even has a TikTok page that shows her goofier side. Before each inning, she has a unique loosen-up routine that she says helps her focus while reminding herself to enjoy the game. And when she's locked in, she's having a blast.

Lately, though, Jensen had been struggling to find that groove. In three of her last four starts, she wasn't shelled but was definitely touched up. Head coach Rhonda Revelle had even started using Emmerson Cope as the designated player more often to lighten Jensen's workload. Would the reduced pressure help? The answer came quickly.

Indiana stepped to the plate in the top of the first inning—and struck out three times in a row. Three batters, three K's. Message sent.

Then the Huskers' offense went to work. With one out, Hannah Coor bunted her way on base, setting the stage for Hannah Camenzind. Camenzind, who was surprisingly left off both the All-Big Ten First and Second Teams, made a statement. She crushed a 3-1 pitch high over the left fielder's head, off the wall in the corner. Coor raced home from first, and the Huskers never looked back.

Jensen kept dealing, Indiana kept struggling, and Nebraska rolled into the final with style. For fans of the Huskers—or anyone who loves a great pitching performance—this was a game to remember.
