The Cincinnati Bengals got a little eyebrow-raising in the NFL draft’s fourth round.

Zac Taylor and the Bengals got started by trading back, turning one of their sixth-round picks into an extra fourth-round pick in the process.

The Bengals drafted a possible long-term starting center with Connor Lew at No. 128.

Then, they turned around and added a high-upside weapon for Joe Burrow’s offense with Colbie Young, albeit one who comes with some red flags attached to his draft stock.

To say the all-over-the-place feel of the fourth round earned some major reactions would be an understatement.

The Bengals are crushing this draft. Connor Lew at pick No. 128 is awesome. That is a starting center in the NFL.

One of my favorite day 3 graded prospects this year. Big and has talent.

Connor Lew has a future starting C production profile.108 on our final board, 67 on consensus. This is a strong developmental pick.Highlights: Age (he’s 20), strong pass blocking production profileRisks: No testing profile, coming off an ACL tearYou’ll recognize his top… pic.twitter.com/id7wuwikyQ

You’re going to like this pick a lot #Bengals’ fans. Connor Lew is only 20 years old — and started 25 games plus was a team captain. He will be key for Joe Burrow in future years. https://t.co/0EVC9ovGbD

Colbie Young was drafted in round 4 with pick 140 in the 2026 draft class. He scored a 9.01 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 417 out of 4196 WR from 1987 to 2026.https://t.co/kkZrv70lN5 pic.twitter.com/PC6Sw1Ky2b

#Bengals just landed a physically impressive perimeter WR in Colbie YoungAt almost 6’5 and 218, Young showed his sub 4.50 speed at the NFL combine and showed why he’s been on NFL radars for years in that UGA WR room.Standout @ShrineBowl week too.Elite HWS and immediate… pic.twitter.com/BtaHlsUWKT
