With 2 QB picks and a run on Offensive Line in Round 1, there are plenty of players that are available in Round 2 that could fit the Colts if they fall to pick 47. Which players could be the next Colts on Day 2 of the Draft
Boston is a surprise fall outside of Round 1, as he was a consensus Top 5 WR in the class who was expected to go in the 20s. Boston likely goes early in Round 2 with plenty of Wide Receiver needy teams in the Draft.

Still the Colts have a good shot to have a solid Wide Receiver prospect fall to them at 47 with the depth of talent in this class. Practically any of the top 8 remaining wouldn’t be considered much of a reach, if at all. All of them can play outside as well at the Z position, so there is a lot of natural successors to Michael Pittman Jr. in the starting line up if the Colts opt to invest early in the position.
Only 2 off ball linebackers went in Round 1 and both were the sharpie’d in Ohio State ‘backers in Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese. Good news for the Colts that have only Akeem Davis-Gaither as a potential starter (and he was predominantly a backup previously), there are a wealth of options for the Colts after a near ideal draft for them that they could’ve expected at the position in Round 1.
Colts Coach Cato June’s Linebackers for the National Team:– Texas Tech Jacob Rodriguez– Pitt Kyle Louis– Oregon Bryce Boettcher– Texas A&M Scooby Williams– TCU Kaleb Elarms-OrrA fun group of playmakers that June has reportedly made a strong impression on (and vice versa) https://t.co/wyYvZc3bxq
There is a good chance the top 3-4 could be taken before pick 47, so the Colts could pivot to the latter two or wait on the position for other players.
There is a nice depth remaining at Edge Rusher with TJ Parker falling out of Round 1. Everyone else was expected to be available at this point in the draft, but there is still a good amount of DEs left in the class.
I'm aligned with @fakecorykinnan on this take, especially when it comes to the Colts. If you want an edge rusher to have a day one impact, they have to have a clean power profile that translatesIt's why I'm higher on players like Gabe Jacas and Zion Young for Indy than others pic.twitter.com/C2MIBR1r28
Still the DE class could starts to dry up quickly after this list, so teams could prioritize the premium position in Round 2.
Only 2 Corners went in Round 1 with Mansoor Delane and Chris Johnson going on Day 1. Ponds, Terrell, and McCoy pre-injury update were thought to be Round 1 players, so there is a strong depth available to start Day 2.
It’s more than likely Justin Walley season if/when Kenny Moore II is traded BUT for fun here’s the #Colts fit section from my D’Angelo Ponds write-up.Indy Draft Guide: https://t.co/jS4QS3xaF6 pic.twitter.com/F6XyJYZGGV
Plenty of them could slide into the slot to get a successor to Kenny Moore II, from Ponds and Terrell to everyone at 5 through 10 on the list. If the Colts are already planning for life without Kenny, Colts have a lot of options.
